SAP Tivoli Consultant
Main Sail LLC is looking for an SAP Tivoli Consultant for a multi-year SAP production support contract.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support day-to-day Tivoli operations by monitoring alerts, executing runbooks, performing basic troubleshooting, and escalating effectively to keep services stable.
- Monitor dashboards/queues and respond to events/alerts; perform initial triage and ticket creation with correct categorization and impact.
- Execute runbook procedures (service restarts, agent checks, job reruns, basic backup restores) within approved change/incident processes.
- Validate agent health and connectivity; perform basic installs/upgrades under guidance and document outcomes.
- Support event hygiene: acknowledge/close alerts, attach evidence, and ensure alert-to-ticket correlation is accurate.
- Assist with schedule/job operations (if applicable): monitor job failures, rerun/restart jobs, validate dependencies, and communicate status.
- Assist with backup operations (if applicable): verify nightly results, investigate common failures, and support small restore requests.
- Maintain knowledge articles, troubleshooting notes, and shift handover summaries.
Required Skills:
- Active Secret Clearance
- Experience using IBM Tivoli tools
- Experience maintaining job schedules
- Experience maintaining and create jobs based on functional team input
- Experience troubleshooting job failures and alerts
- Ability to coordinate with functional teams to review failures
- Ability to maintain relevant documentation
Work Location: 100% Remote
Period of Performance: 1 base year, 4 client option years
